The Gladstone Fashion Design Awards is a brand new exciting runway and dinner event being held in Gladstone, Queensland.
The runway event showcases entries from designers, makers, seamstresses & local boutiques across 8 categories.
The inaugural Gladstone Fashion Design Awards is to be held on the 24th of October 2026.
The event proceeding is dependent on securing sponsorship support.

The Gladstone Fashion Design Awards has been created to provide a regional platform for local and emerging designers to gain both experience and exposure in the industry.
Central Queensland designers, makers and seamstresses have very limited opportunity to showcase their brand and talents.
And why not celebrate them with a spectacular runway show!
Entries for the Gladstone Fashion Design Awards are open to all.
The Young Designer category is for designers under 19 years of age & the Curated Collections category is for boutiques only.
No, we are accepting entries from outside of the Gladstone Region.
Please note that an entry requirement is that you must attend the runway and dinner event.
We will announce via email and social media when designer entries are open. Entry forms will then be available for download on our website. Designers will submit their entry form via email and will be contacted in the lead up to the event with important information.
Judging will be scheduled for the day before the event. All entries will be judged and scored according to the category criteria.
All category and award winners will be announced and presented during the runway and dinner event.
Designer Entry Categories
Let your imagination run wild. This category is all about inspired, expressive runway statement pieces. Designers can use unconventional materials, allowing for creativity with unlimited possibilities.
Designers must use up cycled fabric for their entry in this category. They can be a combination of second-hand store finds or the re-imagining of an existing garment. It is all about giving second life to clothing or fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfill.
With an emphasis on seasonal fabrics and current trends, this category is high fashion elegance. Entries feature tailored, timeless silhouettes designed for longevity. Accessories are essential.
This category is all about high quality, versatile and re-wearable bridal, evening & gala garments that have the wow factor. Think sophistication and elegance for celebratory events.
With a focus on high quality construction intended to last for years rather than a single season, this category is all about functionality, versatility and style. Each entry is to consist of a collection of 3 outfits that share a unifying feature or theme.
Sustainable clothing designed for children up to the age of 12. Entries need to have a focus on durability and longevity.
Each entry can include a collection of up to 3 outfits.
This category is for fashion designers and makers under 19 years of age. “Re-imagined Streetwear” is the theme for our inaugural 2026 event. Entries must use pre-loved or discarded garments and/or materials. Aim for edgy, modern fashion pieces.
This one is exclusively for our local boutiques to showcase 3 styled outfits on the runway. The theme for the 2026 Curated Collections is Cotton Couture. Entries must feature garments produced using cotton rich fabrics.
